Got a question?
Here are some FAQ - contact us if you have a specific concern
What is Pilates?
Pilates is a challenging low impact exercise method that balances strength with mobility, aligns the body, fine-tunes movement patterns, and strengthens the deeper muscles of the core.
What’s required to attend class?
We would recommend comfortable streamlined/exercise attire for all Pilates classes. Exercises and movements vary and will sometimes require you to be on your back with your legs in the reformer straps, therefore longer shorts may be preferred if you decide to wear summer attire. No shoes are required in the studio on the reformer.
Exercise socks are available, or may wear your own at your discretion.
Don't forget to bring a drink bottle!
How many classes should I be doing?
We believe it’s best not to recommend a specific number of classes until we have met you and get to know you. We want to work towards your individual needs and goals.
For a generalisation, between one and three classes per week is best for optimal results, however, this changes for each individual and their circumstances. We would love to discuss and tailor your exercise plan after your first class and provide recommended options available to you to best suit you in your journey.
I'm coming back from injury or still in recovery, can I attend classes?
If you are a beginner or have injuries, please let the instructor know, regardless of fitness level. You’ll learn how to customise the Reformer machine to suit your body, and build your foundations gradually, with a focus on safety and technique.
Our group reformer classes are best suited to those without injuries. If you are carrying any injuries and require a private session, please book in with a 1:1 with one of our team members.
How long are the classes?
All classes are 45 mins and include a yoga inspired stretch upon the reformer, and numbers are strictly limited to 8 per class – so you receive personal attention within the dynamic environment of a group class.
Do you have any change rooms/toilet facilities?
We have two change rooms for you to use should you be doing classes before or after work, or general day activities.
